HuntingX grew out of one simple question: what if our phones didn't keep us on the couch, but pulled us outside into an adventure? That's the idea — and here's what's behind it.
Six reasons why a round is more than just a game.
Instead of endlessly scrolling the feed, you live a real adventure. HuntingX pulls you off the screen and into the real world — with adrenaline, tactics and real encounters.
Your hometown becomes a playing field: parks, alleys, squares and bridges suddenly look completely new. You discover corners you've never been to — right in your own city.
One round bonds you like a shared experience: plan together, laugh, struggle and celebrate the catch. It creates memories that last — not just in a chat history.
Without feeling like a workout, you're out for hours. Fresh air, steps and plenty of movement come all by themselves — next to each other, not next to each other on a phone.
No round is like the last: different players, different zone, different tactics. HuntingX stays exciting — no matter how often you play, it never gets boring.
No likes, no algorithm — just you, your team and the moment. Hunt fever you feel, not just see. That's HuntingX.
The idea for HuntingX was born on a rainy evening when we were once again just staring at our phones. The question was simple: what if this exact device didn't keep us glued to the couch, but pulled us outside — into a real adventure played with friends? We took the classic board-game idea of a manhunt and turned it into something that happens in a real city: live, tactical and outdoors.
The first prototypes were improvised: phones in pockets, pings on a shared map, a chat where we misled each other. We tested in parks, on squares and through alleys — and every time it was clear something more than a game was emerging. It was movement, fresh air, laughter and a hunt fever you feel in your body. HuntingX grew out of those rounds.
Today HuntingX is developed by a small team — for groups of friends, clubs, school classes and team events looking for exactly this: an excuse to go outside, share a real experience and tell real stories afterwards. You'll find the exact rules, flow and special events on the rules page — this is about the why. If you have questions, feedback, or interest in a custom version for your event, reach us via the contact page.
